I prefer the 360 over the XB1 controller when it comes to driving games, because I find that the analog stick and triggers on the XB1. This is just a simple guide with screenshots of the settings I found to be perfect (or close to it) for driving in ETS2/ATS using an Xbox 360 controller. It is much better to fix the problem than it is to find a workaround to a problem which will still exist. How to get your Xbox controller to drive like a wheel. If you have done all those things which I have mentioned then your wheel and pedals should work in the game and if the problem still exists then you need to post a thread in the forum and ask for help rather than giving a workaround to other players. However, Fanatec pedals which I use are set to normal. As mentioned above, in-game make sure your pedals are set to inverted but this depends on what pedals you are using, Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels are set to inverted. how to set up your steering wheel in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator This comprehensive guide takes you through the entire process, prov. There you can check to see whether your wheel functions correctly or not.Ĥ. You can check the calibration of your wheel by selecting Windows Control Panel and then select View devices and printers and then right click on your wheel and select Game controller settings and then select Properties. Then check that your wheel is calibrated correctly and all things are working on your wheel the way they are supposed to be. Make sure your wheel is plugged directly into your computer using a USB2 port and not a USB3 port unless they are the only ones on your computer and do not use a USB-Hub.ģ. Wheels and pedals should work correctly in this game and many players have them working without any problem whatsoever. It is not a solution to the problem it is just a workaround. That is not necessary because the pedals should work fine without needing to do that. Also, they require a fair bit of skill to operate - they're designed for those who don't have much strength (muscular dysophy etc.) but do have fine control.Originally posted by tony's trucking:that what i am using In my opinion.Thrustmaster has the better force feedback system and quieter wheel operation as the wheels are a hybrid belt/pulley system. The game was designed for a 900 degree rotation wheel and If your wheel has 900 degree rotation then the following settings would apply. For 400.you are looking at the Logitech G29/920 or the Thrustmaster T300 wheels. I've seen these joystick control systems in vehicles which cost thousands of pounds/euros/dollars. That would have to do with the Steering sensitivity and Non linearity settings in the in-game Controls options. If you go down the TM route look for bundles which have at least the T3PA pedals. You could also look at T300, T500, TS-XW/PC racer all from Thrustmaster. You’ve got a wheel and basic pedals with a clutch and You can also get the shifter for cheap. My accelerator pedal is on the left of the brake for easy access to my left foot. Logitech G29 is an excellent, excellent place to start. IRL though, I do drive a car with a steering wheel with a steering knob attached to it. In ETS2 I don't feel the need to use CC that much as the speed control zones are clearly predefined by speed cameras My Y axis is my throttle and brake, and I use cruise control in ATS a lot as it helps me to stay within speed limits. Obviously I use the auto gearbox mode - I prefer the real auto mode. Plus the fact I'm pretty used to joystick control on my powered wheelchairs. My right hand is pretty useless as is my right foot, so there's no real advantage of uusing a wheel and pedals. I also play with a joystick (MS Sidewinder 3d pro) but it's mostly because of my physical disability that I do. I have a pretty nice joystick I use for space/flight sims, and I'm pretty sure you can bind the controls to the stick's axis like a wheel, but does this work practically? Or should I stick to a gamepad? Originally posted by Jojy:I have no intention of buying a wheel for one game, but I know that KB/M is not recommended for this.
